1. The app licence
Turfora is made by Narek Sumbatyan (“we”, “us”). Your use of the app is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA) together with these terms. Where these terms cover a topic, they add to Apple’s agreement.
2. AI guidance, not a guarantee
- Diagnoses, health scores, plans and check-in results are generated by AI (Anthropic’s Claude) from your photos and answers. They can be wrong or incomplete — many lawn problems look alike, and photos don’t show everything. The app shows how confident the AI is; treat a low-confidence result as a hint, not an answer.
- Treatments are named by active ingredient, not brand. Before using any product, read and follow its label — it takes priority over the app. Follow local laws: some ingredients are restricted or banned in some places.
- Use protective gear the label asks for, keep children and pets off treated areas for as long as the label says, and don’t apply products before heavy rain or near water, wells or drains.
- For a serious, spreading or expensive problem, and before major work, ask a local lawn professional or your agricultural extension service.
- Turfora is general guidance, not professional advice. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for damage to lawns, plants, property, people or animals resulting from use of the app or its advice.
3. Turfora Premium
- Free: your first scan, with the diagnosis and a short summary. Premium adds the full treatment plan, more scans, the checklist and reminders, 7-day photo check-ins and your full history.
- Plans: a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, and a weekly subscription. Prices are shown in the app and the App Store in your currency before you buy, and may include taxes.
- Renewal: payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancelling: on your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Turfora. Premium stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Free trial: if you buy a subscription during the trial, any unused trial time ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple. Restore Purchases (on the paywall and in Settings) brings Premium back on a new iPhone with the same Apple account.
- Fair use: to keep the service fast and affordable, each installation can run up to 10 AI analyses per day. We may adjust this limit to prevent abuse.
4. Your data
Your scans, cases, photos and settings are stored on your iPhone, and you’re responsible for your device backups. AI analysis needs an internet connection. How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.
5. Acceptable use
- Photograph your own lawn, or one you have permission to photograph. Don’t submit photos of people or unlawful content.
- Don’t copy, resell, reverse-engineer, overload or misuse the app or its AI server, or use it for anything unlawful.
- The Turfora name, icon and design belong to us. Turfora is not affiliated with any lawn product brand.
6. Changes
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new date; continuing to use the app means you accept it.
